Ljubljanastrophe introduces alien perspectives to Ljubljana and its showpiece cultural vectors (Neue Slowenische Kunst, Ljubljana school of psychoanalysis etc.). It includes Simon Sellars’ original story that takes place in Slovenia and features Slavojbots and Melania hologlots, a short history of catastrophism by Thomas Moynihan, the first local xenofeminist story by Anamarija Šiša, Primož Krašovec’s theory-fiction about homesick cat bots, an accelerationist revision of NSK by Edmund Berger, Kazimir Kolar’s misty story that is devoured by footnotes, and artificial intelligence on a psychoanalytic couch by Vincent Le.

Šum# 13 / SHANGHAI FREQUENCIES, edited by Danish archaeologist Mikkel Bindslev, will be published in parallel with Ljubljanastrophe. It is no longer about the parallels between Ljubljana and Paris or New York, but rather how it relates to Shanghai or Dubai.
